Systemic Psychotherapy
Supporting individuals, couples and families to improve relationships, overcome emotional challenges and strengthen wellbeing.
About Me
I am a Psychotherapist specialising in Family and Couples Psychotherapy. I have worked for over 12 years with children and families in the NHS, where I practise as a Team Lead and Senior Family Therapist. Alongside this, I work in private practice with individuals, couples, parents, children and adolescents.
My work is grounded in a systemic perspective, which considers how relationships, personal beliefs and a person’s sense of self shape the way they experience the world. Understanding these patterns can help make sense of why certain feelings and reactions arise, particularly when they begin to affect everyday life.
I offer a warm, safe and confidential space to explore emotional, relational and behavioural difficulties. This may include reflecting on past experiences and how earlier relationships continue to influence current interactions, supporting insight and clarity for moving forward.
I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and I hold an MA in Systemic Psychotherapy from the Tavistock and Portman Clinic, and I am an AFT registered Supervisor.

What To Expect
I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation, so that we can discuss a therapy tailored to your specific needs. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know me. Having a good rapport and relationship with your therapist is an important part of therapy, and leads to better outcomes.
If you choose to proceed I tend to suggest an initial 4-6 sessions. During this time, we can discuss your best hopes for therapy, develop a plan together on how best to achieve your goals, and begin to work towards change. After 6 sessions we would pause to review how our work is going together, and to think about next steps.
My Approach
My work is grounded in systemic psychotherapy, which looks at difficulties within the context of relationships, interaction patterns and life experiences.
When working with couples, I often use emotionally focused approaches to support communication, understanding and emotional connection.
Therapy is a collaborative process. I work alongside clients to develop shared understanding, regularly review progress and ensure the work remains relevant.
